From the poem “Somos, Avec Con Dulce Sueño Votre, Tio Notre”
“…Alas, for all our vaunting, we are but, like, vain and motley,
unshaven to the last before the vast staring match of a cosmos
that seems like it only cares about itself and can’t hear us.
Life and space are a mystery that nobody at all ever,
ever could even possibly understand even a little tiny bit;
fools like Plato, Descartes and Stephen Hawking
flail away blindly in their precious little wheelchairs
and can only claw away unsmartly at the bare straws
of wisdom that don’t get grasped by them eternally…”
