Periodically, LPG tries to check in to give the low down on opportunities. It can be hard to keep up, so consider this a partial list. Still, if you are looking for a good listen, or open mic to share work, and want to hear the range of strong features in Burque, this will get you started… I’ve organized it according to the calendar: weeklies, monthly by week, quarterlies, and a note of some other opportunities to keep your ears tuned to…

WEEKLY READINGS

EVERY MONDAY ONGOING

WEST OF SUNSET–Hosted by Wendy Schumann.

Within two weeks of closing the East of Edith open mic series at the Projects, Albuquerque once again proves true to literary resilience and launches a brand NEW poetry open mic to fill the void. WEST OF SUNSET will be held every Mondays from 7-9 pm. This takes place at Wendy’s home, 1585 Cerro Vista SW. ALL poets and poetry lovers welcome. Bring words, potluck or munchies. BYOB. Folding lawn chairs welcome. Gathering is outdoors on patio or inside if it rains. This is the brand new summer successor to the beloved East of Edith readings.
