Andrea Serrano hosts Speak, Poet: Voz, Palabra y Sonido.

Please join us for a brand new Speak, Poet: Voz, Palabra y Sonido Thursday March 8th  featuring Olivia Romo and Adán Trujillo, as well as the world (in)famous mic-less open mic! 7pm at El Chante: Casa de Cultura 804 Park Ave. SW (Southwest corner of Central and 8th), Albuquerque, NM 87102 It’s also International Women’s Day! Speak, Poet is a venue for poets and spoken word artists to share their work, create community and be inspired. If you’re a mic-veterana/o or a newbie, please come through and bless us with your words! $5 suggested donation but we’ll also take the change you scrape out of your car… no one will be turned away for lack of funds. On the West Side, you can catch Katrina Guarascio as she hosts The Smokin’ Slam w/ Special Guest Reed Adair Bobroff  who is To’dich’iinii Diné (Navajo) and a senior at the Native American Community Academy. This is Rio Rancho’s only monthly Poetry Slam and Open Mic! Sign up for the Open Mic and Slam at 5:45; Show starts at 6 and will go till 8. This is a free speech/free expression all ages show. There is no entrance fee, but a $3 donation is suggested and they encourage our patrons to grab some BBQ from the Smokehouse. The Smokehouse BBQ 528 & Barbara Loop, Rio Rancho, NM. It is delicious! This is a monthly event and will continue the second Thursday of every month.
