Look up? or Look it up! The Encyclopedia Show

Hope your spring has been most awesome. Just wanted to take a minute to tell you a bit about our latest project. Lately (about every other month), I’ve been co-hosting/producing a show called the Encyclopedia Show. Started in Chicago and now syndicated in Austin, OKC, and ABQ, the Encyclopedia Show is a sort of nerdy variety show. Following a series of topics pioneered in Chicago, we ask artists to create art based around a specific theme. Then every other month we ask them to show us what they got. This month’s theme is the Visible Spectrum, and we’ve got belly dancing, improv, poetry, spoken word, music, and much more.

It all takes place tomorrow, April 1st at 8 PM at the Kosmos (1715 5th St. NW) and only costs a measly $5.00. The Kosmos will have light snacks and Tractor Brew will be on hand to provide the libations (for a nominal price). For this month, some of the performers we have on tap are: Jessica Lopez, Damien Flores, Brian Herrera, Rogue Bindi, Linda Rodeck, Ben Boreman, Katrina Guarascio, Roy G. Biv and so much more. So why don’t you start your April and your Friday off right with some fresh local art.

See you there.
