Splinters: The Postcard Project
Announcing “Splinters: The Postcard Project”
Splinters is a new independant poetry prject blending postcards, photography and poetry. We are looking for short poems, no longer than 20 lines, from poets throughout New Mexico. Selected poems will be printed on standard postcards featuring the photography of local poet/photographer Gina Marselle.
Poets interested in submitting should send up to 5 short poems to firstname.lastname@example.org with their name and the word Splinters in the subject line. Please include a short bio, no more than 100 words along with your contact information. Any theme or topic is welcome and previously published work is acceptable as long you own the rights to the work and let us know who to acknowledge.
Artists interested in submitting visual art for the post cards are invited to submit up to three pieces. jpeg or jpg files are prefrerred with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Any theme or topic is welcomed and if your work is selected we will be in touch to discuss details.
We strive to accept or decline work within three weeks. Simultaneous submissions are fine as long as you notify us of any pieces accepted elsewhere immediately.
Finished postcards will be published and mailed out on the 15th of each month. Subscriptions are available for $15 a year or you can pick up individual postcards for $2 each at readigs, coffee shops and retailers throughout the state.
