Gratitude

Local Poets Guild would like to thank the McCune Charitable Foundation for their faith and generous support.
We would also like to thank Sharon Gill for donating the use of a rural cabin for a two year trial for a writer’s residency in the east mountains. Thanks also to the people who have donated, sofas, desks, pots and pans, and sheets to the cause and also to Margaret Randall who donated books, a beautiful framed print, gorgeous rugs (which I’m going to hang on the wall) and a crockpot, and also to Joy Harjo who donated a huge gorgeous print where the moon is flying, and to Aaron Greenwood for a bookcase just for the residency. And I also have to thank Aaron for who is going to help set up our new office with a computer and printer.

Shout-outs also go to some of our partners in collaboration including Suzanne Sbarge of 516 ARTS; Pamela Michaelis, David Felberg, and Jane Kennedy of Church of Beethoven; Mark Weaver of the Roost; Bryan Konefsky of Basement Films; Gary Wilkie and Marilyn Stablein of Acequia Booksellers; Tom Guralnick of Outpost Performance Space; plus Elaine Schwartz and Demetria Martinez of Poets Against War, Mitch Rayes and the Projects, Becky Holtzman of Burque Bioneers, plus Neal Copperman and Tom Frouge of Globalquerque.

Gratitude also goes to Rich Boucher who worked tirelessly with Lisa Gill to help build the original web pages (and who also donated the fees to allow custom CSS for the blog), and keeps helping with blog posts. And thanks to premier photographer David Ondrik who made the trek with me to the East Mountains to photograph the LAND IS retreat.

We’ll keep adding to this list bit by bit…
